2012 is the year for the return of color! The 3 main trends that they outlined are:
GRASSROOTS- Think American vintage. Homespun roots & unpretentious living. Lots of stripes, patchwork & floral prints. Fruit prints. Distressed finishes. Saddle bags. Colors are coral & mint colors with pops of red & royal blue.
GLOBE TROTTER- Multicultural escapes & limitless boundaries. *diversity* Mixed media. Fringe. Colored suede. Feathers. Tunics, caftans, & asymmetrical ponchos. Reptile, animal & tropical prints. Colors are Oranges & vibrant reds.
THE CLASH- Hyperactive color. Striking imaginary, clashing graphics, color blocking, contrast trims, architectural & structured jewelry. Round & cat eye sunnies. Resin & epoxy jewelry. 60s, 80s & 90s Rich mix of high voltage brights.

Earrings: are MAJOR right now.
Necklaces: getting short - clean metal collars & statement necklaces that rest by your collar bone.
Bags: Look for bags that are structured, AND convertible (think satchels that have top handles & come with long straps). Clutches are also uptrending.
Shoes: the higher the platform the better. Many seen in wedge form.
Aaaand don't forget ankle socks, floppy hats, skinny belts, head wraps & turbans, oversized shades, and bows are making a comeback.
